Where is HealthBlocks based?
The headquarters of HealthBlocks is based in The Netherlands. Duinlustweg 16, 2051 AA in Overveen.
How is HealthBlocks giving me ownership and control over my data?
We store all your health data in your data profile. With HealthBlocks V1 the data is stored in our backend & in the decentralized data store of the Nillion Network. The data that is stored on Nillion will be encrypted so your privacy is always guaranteed. On top of this private and decentralized data storage we will build a data platform so you can freely exchange your data with 3rd parties (without revealing it) and get rewarded.
We currently also hold the data in our storage to be able to run the app. When technically possible we will fully switch over to Nillion and will not have direct access to the data anymore. This day we will celebrate!
Why does HealthBlocks find it so important to give ownership and control of health data back to users?
Because these elements are crucial to allow for fair value distribution. When you own and control the data, you are in charge. The last bit is to provide privacy preserving computation or blind computation to allow other parties to get insights from the data without getting your data. Data ownership isn’t transferred, just the insights.
Is HealthBlocks planning to launch their own token?
Yes. Are you excited and ready for a fully functioning product pre-token launch that is community owned? Stick around!
Is HealthBlocks a web3 project?
We are interested in web3 because we believe in the future that users will have full ownership and control over their health data. That’s why we are integrating decentralized data storage and computation solutions from the start. The reality is that the technology is not capable (yet) to run a fully functional app like HealthBlocks. We are on a road to decentralization.
Besides, the more technical stuff behind the scenes we are also integrating crypto payments methods really early on, so Activity Pools can be entered with tokens like $POL, $USDC, etc.
What will happen with my earned test tokens during the beta period?
We will convert the test tokens into real $HEALTH tokens before the token launch. The exact converting mechanism will be announced closer to launch.
How can I connect my HealthBlocks beta account to the new HealthBlocks app?
We will provide the opportunity for beta users to connect their beta account to the HealthBlocks app prior to our token sale.
Can I still participate in HealthBlocks beta?
No, HealthBlocks beta is closed.
Why don’t I get a Morning Readiness Score?
If you’re doing your face scan after 12:00pm your local time, we cannot provide a morning readiness score.
Why can I only do the Daily Health Check once a day?
The Daily Health Check is designed to provide accurate, actionable insights based on a single comprehensive data snapshot each day.
What is the Daily Health Check?
The Daily Health Check is a quick, personalized assessment in the HealthBlocks app that provides insights into your stress and overall well-being. It’s a face scan that analyses several biomarkers based on the blood flow in the veins of your face. The face recordings are not stored.

How long is an Activity Pool?
Activity Pools typically last between one week and one month, depending on the challenge type. Check the game rules of each activity pool carefully before you register.
How can I enter an Activity Pool?
To enter an Activity Pool:
- Open the HealthBlocks app.
- Go to Pools
- Browse available Activity Pools and select one that matches your interest.
- Pay the entry fee using your preferred payment method or enter with an entry code (when possible).
- Start tracking your progress using your connected health app.
- Successfully complete the challenge and get rewarded.
What are the Game Rules of an Activity Pool?
The rules vary by pool but generally include:
- A timeframe for the activity pool (e.g. 7 days, 12 days, 21 days etc)
- A daily data requirement (e.g. 7.500 steps per day)
- A preset number of cheat days. A cheat day is a day in which you don’t have to meet your daily requirement.
- A prize mechanism. The total entry fees combined is the prize pool. After the challenge is completed the mechanism checks how many people completed the challenge and the amount of money to be distributed to the successful participants after subtraction of the HealthBlocks commission fee. If your reward is lower than your entry fee (because everyone completed the challenge), our commission is cut back to ensure you receive your entry fee back.
- A sponsored Activity Pool holds an additional reward on top of the regular prize mechanism. Sponsors can choose to add prizes that can be distributed through several mechanisms: lottery of a set number of prizes among winners, bonus prize money distributed equally among winners, every winner gets a fixed prize. Examples are: Sponsor gives away 10 prizes of €50, distributed by lottery amongst winners. Sponsor gives away €250 distributed equally among all winners. Sponsor gives €5 to each winner.
